DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central men's basketball program will be involved in the Inaugural Invesco QQQ Legacy Classic at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., and will take on Hampton University on Saturday, Dec. 18.
The matchup between the Eagles and Pirates will follow North Carolina A&T State and Howard, and both games will be broadcast live on TNT.
This will be the first meeting between NCCU and Hampton since the Eagles defeated the Pirates, 71-63, in the 2018 MEAC Tournament Championship for the second of three consecutive tournament titles for the Eagles. NCCU is 48-33 all-time against Hampton.
Turner Sports and Invesco QQQ are partnering with actor and producer Michael B. Jordan, WME Sports, the sports division of WME, an Endeavor Company, Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE) and Scout Sports and Entertainment, a division of Horizon Media, to exclusively present the Invesco QQQ Legacy Classic on Saturday, Dec. 18. The Invesco QQQ Legacy Classic, held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, will be a Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) men's college basketball showcase.
