BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- 
The Delaware State volleyball team rallied from a first set loss to take the next three games in a 3-1 victory over Binghamton Friday evening, stretching its win streak to seven in a row.

The Hornets dropped the first set 25-22, snapping a string of 18 consecutive set wins, but evened the match with a 26-24 victory in set two. Delaware State opened up a 2-1 lead in the contest with a dominating 25-10 win in the third set, and overcame a late deficit to take set four 27-25 for the match win.

The Hornets are now a MEAC-leading 11-1 this season, the team's best 12-match record since the program began in 1985. Delaware State's seven straight wins are also the most by the program since taking nine in a row in the 1986 MEAC championship season.

The Hornets used a balanced offensive attack to key their latest win.

Four players - Kristi Gomez, Valeria Otero, Alondra Maldonado and Sydney Lewis -- tied for team high honors with 11 kills each for the Hornets.

Maryland Eastern Shore 3, Saint Francis 1

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. -- 
In their first action at home in almost two years, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore volleyball team defeated the Saint Francis University Red Flash in four sets on Friday night inside the William P. Hytche Center.

"It took us a while to get our stride, but the fans really fueled us through today," head coach Trevor Callarman said. "As the match went on the girls settled in and they started to click."

Derionah Abner and Maya Hendricks tied for the team high in kills with eight. Junior Sophia Chacon led the squad with 14 assists.

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. --
The Morgan State volleyball team earned a split on the opening day of the UNH/Merrimack Tournament on Friday at Bert Hammel Court on the campus of Merrimack College. The Lady Bears defeated host Merrimack 3-0 (25-13, 25-23, 25-15) in the opener, before falling to co-host New Hampshire 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-20).
 
Morgan State improved to 2-11 on the season, while Merrimack fell to 0-13 and New Hampshire improved to 7-5 overall.?

After opening the day with a four-set loss to Buffalo, Norfolk State got back into the win column behind 20 kills and 20 digs from Rachel Williams as the Spartans defeated Radford in five sets.

Bria Woodard led Howard with 19 kills Friday evening, but the Bison fell in four sets to Harvard in Burr Gymnasium to wrap up a two-match, two-day homestand.

Junior outside hitter Abby Vacha recorded a season-high 10.5 points for visiting North Carolina Central in a tight three-set loss at Duke on Friday morning inside Cameron Indoor Stadium to begin play in the Duke Classic.
