LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. -- Delaware State notched its fourth and fifth wins in a row, posting 3-0 victories over Central Connecticut and Siena at The Crowne Plaza Albany-The Desmond Invitational hosted by Siena College on Friday.
The Hornets are now a MEAC-best 9-1 this season, their best start after 10 matches since the program began in 1985. Eight of DSU's nine wins this season are by 3-0 scores, including the last five contests, coming out on top in 15 straight sets.
Delaware State outscored Central Connecticut by scores of 25-19, 25-22 and 28-26.
Valeria Otero led the Hornets with 14 kills, while Alondra Maldonado added 10.
Malgorzata Andersohn led all players with 23 assists and tallied a career-best 18 digs. Jasmal Cruz continued her recent string of solid defensive play, tallying a season-high 19 digs.

FAIRFAX, Va. -- Morgan State got 25 kills from Madison Grace and another 12 from Gabriela Hiciano Friday evening as the Bears defeated host George Mason 3-2 (15-25, 25-23, 17-25, 25-22, 16-14) for their first win of the season.
Mackenzie Jefferson quarterbacked the Morgan State offense to the tune of 45 assists, while also racking up five service aces.
Jadore Hayes led the Bears defense with 17 digs.

TOWSON, Md. -- Rachel Williams led three Norfolk State players with double-figure kills with 18, helping the Spartans notch a 3-1 win over Temple in NSU's second match of the day Friday at the Towson Tiger Invitational.
Paola Matos posted a career-high 16 kills and Shonte Seale put down 15 for the Spartans, who dropped the first set 25-21 before winning the next three, 25-22, 25-23, 25-19 to beat Temple for the first time.
Earlier in the day, NSU opened its stay at the Tiger Invitational with a 3-1 loss to Florida Atlantic (25-23, 17-25, 16-25, 20-25).
Against Temple, the Spartans (3-4) hit a season-best .288 with 58 kills against just 13 errors.
