NORFOLK, Va., August 5, 2021 – Morgan State University men’s tennis player Nihit Rawal has been appointed to the NCAA Division I Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. His term begins immediately and runs through May 31, 2023.

“Nihit Rawal has been a successful leader on the court and in the classroom,” MEAC Commissioner Dennis E. Thomas said. “He will be a tremendous asset to the NCAA Division I Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.”
“I’m really grateful for the opportunity provided to me by the conference,” Rawal said. “It feels great to be supported by the conference and represent them at the NCAA SAAC.”
Rawal, one of the MEAC’s 2021 Nike Post-Graduate Scholarship recipients, earned All-MEAC First Team honors in 2019 when he helped the Bears to a 14-8 overall record, the Northern Division Title and the MEAC Tournament Championship. This past July, he was named to the Division I Men's & Women's Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) All-Academic Team. The three-time MEAC All-Academic Team member completed his undergraduate degree in finance in December 2020 and is currently working on his master’s in accounting.
As a member of the NCAA Division I Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Rawal will sustain and advance the Association’s mission, traditions, values and reputation.

st year of intercollegiate competition with the 2021-22 academic school year.
