WYOMING, Mich. – North Carolina A&T State's Ana Olaya won twice Wednesday to reach the semifinals of the United States Bowling Congress Nationals (USBC) at the Intercollegiate Singles Championship.
The senior entered bracket play as the No. 12 seed, and defeated No. 5 Ayra Nur Jehan Aminuddin of Mount Mercy 628-567 to advance to the third round, where she defeated No. 4 Jordan Mundt of Tusculum 518-501.
Olaya faces No. 8 Maryssa Carey of Indiana Tech in the semifinals Saturday at 4:30 p.m., The other semifinals match is between No. 18 Isabel Allen of Clarke University and No. 3 Katie Robb of Delaware State.
The tournament continues Thursday with the Intercollegiate Team Championship with the qualifying of 12 baker games starting at 2 p.m., followed by the first round at 6 p.m.
