Men's Golf Completes its First Tournament in Program History

Odom paced the Bison with a 19th place finish

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- The Howard University men's golf team completed its first tournament in program history finished in 13th place overall at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate hosted by William & Mary. The Bison completed three rounds on Monday and Tuesday. 

Greg Odom (Memphis, Tn.) led Howard, tied for 19th place overall on the player leaderboard with his consistent play carding 73 all three rounds for a total of 219 on the par 70-6,799-yard Golden Horseshoe Gold Course.

Everett Whitten Jr. (Chesapeake, Va.) improved in each round. Whitten carded 80-73-72-225, shot a team-best 72 in the third round, improved 16 spots on the last day. 

Edrine Okong (Lugazi, Uganda) tied the team-best 72 in the second round of the tournament.
