NORFOLK, Va., March 6, 2021 – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) has released its men's pairings for the 2021 Air Force Reserve MEAC Basketball Tournament, March 11-13 at the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Va. The Eagles of Coppin State (8-4 MEAC) enter as the No. 1 seed in the Northern Division, while the Aggies of North Carolina A&T State (7-1 MEAC) will enter as the No. 1 seed in the Southern Division.
Coppin State earned the top spot in the Air Force Reserve MEAC Basketball Tournament for the first time in 17 years and will open tournament play on Friday, March 12 at 6 p.m. versus the winner of the South No. 2 Florida A&M/North No. 3 Morgan State winner; that quarterfinal will take place on Thursday, March 11 at 6 p.m.
The Aggies claimed the Southern Division title and will be the No. 1 seed for the first time since 1992, North Carolina A&T State earned a bye into the semifinals on Friday, March 12 at 8 p.m. against the winner of the North No. 2 Norfolk State/South No. 3 North Carolina Central game, which is scheduled to take place on Thursday night at 8 p.m.
Norfolk State and Coppin State (8-4 MEAC) claimed a share of the Northern Division Championship, but due to the MEAC tiebreaker rules, Coppin State earns the No. 1 seed in the Northern Division, both teams will be co-champions.
The 2020-21 divisional champions, first team all-conference honorees and other award winners, including Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and Coach of the Year, will be recognized in pre-game presentations prior to the honorees’ first games in the tournament.
The 2021 Air Force Reserve MEAC Basketball Tournament tips off Thursday, March 11, and will conclude on Saturday, March 13 with the men’s and women’s championship games. The quarterfinal and semifinal games will be streamed live on FloHoops at

The women’s game will begin one hour after the end of the men’s game live on ESPN3. The contest will air the following day, Sunday, March 14, at 10 a.m. on ESPNU.
The men’s finale will begin at 1 p.m. and will broadcast live on ESPN2.
