North Carolina A&T State senior second baseman Stephanie Williams has been named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Softball Player of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola, it was announced on Monday.
Morgan State junior pitcher Mikayla Barnard is this week’s Pitcher of the Week and
North Carolina A&T State freshman outfielder Alyxx Estrada is the Rookie of the Week.
Williams (2B, 5-5, Sr., Louisburg, N.C.) sparked the Aggies to a 4-2 week, including a 4-0 mark in conference play, while batting .444 overall and .467 in a four-game sweep over South Carolina State. She recorded a .500 or better batting average in four contests, led the team with eight RBIs, including seven against SCSU, and recorded a slugging percentage of .556 and an on-base percentage of .500.
Barnard (P, 5-9, Jr., Ellicott City, Md.) went 3-0 during the week while registering victories over Kutztown State and Norfolk State (twice). Her earned run average in those three appearances was 1.55 while striking out 18 batters over the three contests, including 11 in Game 1 of the NSU series.
Estrada (OF, 5-2, Fr., West Jordan, Utah) batted .400 in the Aggies’ four-win week with a team-best 17 total bases. She led the team with three triples and tied with three doubles. In the four-game series with South Carolina State, she batted .467 with seven runs scored and six runs batted in.

Brissa Alvarado (Coppin State) went 5-for-9 (.556) with a home run and two RBis for the week.
Caitlyn Meyer (Delaware State) batted .417 with two home runs and one triple as the Hornets won three out of four games against Howard.
Maikyla Nelson (Delaware State) recorded a pair of wins against Howard with an ERA of 1.93. She struck out five batters in the two contests.
Kianna Carr (Howard) went 2-1 during the week with an ERA of 4.58.
Kalita Dennis (Howard) batted .333 in the Bison’s 3-3 week. She had one home run, one double and four RBIs.
Sydni Jones (Howard) batted .263 with five runs scored and five runs batted in.
Haylee Bobos (Morgan State) batted .353 while helping the Bears go 5-1. She registered six hits with five RBIs.
S’Nyiah Stinson (North Carolina A&T State) accumulated a 2-1 record on the mound for the Aggies with a 3.34 ERA.
