Bulldogs Fall in 31-7 Defeat to Alabama A&M

ORANGEBURG, SC—Redshirt junior defensive back Decobie Durant took charge of the Bulldogs leading the way with a game-high three (3) interceptions on the day, but it wasn't enough as South Carolina State suffered an 31-7 defeat to visiting Alabama A&M Saturday (March 6th) at Willie Jeffries Field/O.C. Dawson Stadium.

Redshirt freshman running back Kendrall Flowers finished with a team-high 13 carries for 115-yards, while Alex James gave the Bulldogs their only score of the day 23-yard scamper at the 14:36 mark in the fourth quarter.

Linebackers BJ Davis and Chad Gilchrist both finished with 10 tackles each in the loss.

Next up South Carolina State will host MEAC foe Delaware State in a league showdown on Saturday (March 13th) at Oliver. C. Dawson Stadium. Kickoff is 2 p.m. and will be televised live on ESPN3.
