NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State volleyball program announced several schedule changes on Thursday for its 2021 spring season. The Spartan softball program also made changes to its home schedule for this weekend.
This week's MEAC volleyball series at North Carolina Central set for Friday and Saturday at NCCU's McDougald-McLendon Arena has been postponed. Make-up dates will be announced at a later time.
Spartan softball, meanwhile, is set to host Youngstown State this weekend. The games will now be played at 4 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. on Sunday, with doubleheaders both days. The contests were originally scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
The Spartan softball program owns a 2-2 record going into this weekend's games after its first week of play last weekend.
Norfolk State volleyball has also rescheduled its postponed matches from last week against South Carolina State at home. They will now be played on March 25 at 4 p.m. and March 26 at 1 p.m. at Joseph Echols Hall.
The program is still waiting on confirmation for a make-up date with Old Dominion. The match at the ODU Volleyball Center was postponed on Jan. 31 due to ODU's COVID protocols.
