BALTIMORE, Md. -- 
445 days ago, Morgan State's season came to an end in Washington, D.C., following a heartbreaking five-set loss to host Howard in the 2019 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) title match.
 
Facing Howard for the first time since that Nov. 24, 2019 meeting, Morgan State would earn a 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-20) sweep of their Beltway rivals on Friday evening in the MEAC opener for both teams. The win would mark the second straight at home over the Lady Bison, both by way of shutouts.
 
Tylar Roberson fell short of a double-double, finishing with a match-high 17 kills and a team-high nine digs. Roberson, who hit .342 for the match, also added a match-high three service aces and had an assist, as Morgan State (2-1, 1-0 MEAC) improved to 2-0 at home this season and extended its winning streak to six straight dating back to the 2019 season.  
 
Jada Bivins tallied a match-high 29 assists, five digs, two service aces and a block. Jennevy Santos had eight digs, four assists, two service aces and a kill, while Jourdan Page finished with seven kills. Kendal Hoges, who was making her Morgan debut, hit for .455 and finished with five kills on 11 attempts with no errors, two blocks and a dig.

North Carolina A&T State 3, Norfolk State 0

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- 
North Carolina A&T State completed the Norfolk State sweep in MEAC play on Friday with a three-set win (25-21,25-11,25-17) on Friday at Moore Gymnasium.

Senior setter Edie Brewer recorded her third consecutive double-double of the season with 10 kills and a match-high 21 assists. She added seven digs, a match-high four service aces and a .364 hitting percentage. Junior libero Andrea Laboy-Rivera led the team with a match-high 13 digs.

Junior right side hitter Fatimah Shabazz posted 13 kills with an impressive .522 hitting percentage. Junior outside hitter Amalie Rupertova added six kills and six digs. Sophomore setter Addy Warfield added 15 assists and four digs, and middle blocker Shaylynn Hall added five kills and four blocks, with one of them solo. 

The Aggies (2-1, 2-0 MEAC) recorded 11 service aces, recorded a .276 hitting percentage and held the Spartans (1-5, 0-2 MEAC) to a .051 hitting percentage.

ORANGEBURG, S.C. -- 
Juniors Morgan Goodwin and Arlanda Faulkner both contributed seven kills for North Carolina Central in a second straight 3-0 MEAC Southern Division victory at South Carolina State on Friday Afternoon.
 
Junior Ammaarah Williams once again topped the Eagles in point production with a dozen points, including six kills, five aces and two block assists as NCCU remained undefeated with the 25-13, 25-10, 25-18 win.
 
Freshman setter Lauren Janok logged her first career double-double in just her second collegiate game with team-high totals of 26 assists and 11 digs. She also had five kills to round out her strong performance.
 
NCCU (2-0 overall, 2-0 MEAC) led for nearly the entirety of the match other than at 1-0 scores in the first and second sets. The Eagles coasted by posting a .326 team hitting percentage.
