NORFOLK, Va., Dec. 6, 2021 – For the fifth year, the National Football Foundation (NFF) is partnering with the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) to reveal the league's Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year as part of the events surrounding the 63rd Annual NFF Annual Awards Dinner, which will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021 at ARIA Resort & Casino Las Vegas.
MEAC Commissioner Dr. Dennis E. Thomas will make the announcement at 10:40 a.m. PT on Tuesday during the NFF Annual Awards Press Conference, which will be televised on ESPN3
via this link. He will be joined by the two recipients.
Presented annually since 1971, the MEAC football players of the year awards are voted on by the MEAC head football coaches and sports information directors.

With more than 150 colleges and universities, 19 college commissioners and over 40 returning members of the College Football Hall of Fame in attendance, the night will feature several well-known luminaries. Among the participating luminaries will be Rece Davis (ESPN broadcaster and host of “College GameDay”), Bonnie Bernstein (veteran sportscaster and journalist), Daniel Rodriguez (America’s Beloved Tenor), Randall Cunningham (Remnant Ministries Senior Pastor and 2016 Hall of Fame inductee from UNLV), Kathleen Murphy (NFF Vice-Chairwoman and President of Personal Investing at Fidelity Investments), Jack Ford (NFF Vice-Chairman, TV personality and former Yale defensive back), Archie Griffin (NFF Board Member and 1986 Hall of Fame inductee from Ohio State), Bob Stoops (former Oklahoma head football coach) and Archie Manning (NFF Chairman and 1989 Hall of Fame inductee from Mississippi).

The winner of The William V. Campbell Trophy
® Presented by Fidelity will be announced on Monday, Dec. 6 during a Scholar-Athlete Dinner Presented by Fidelity and hosted by the Las Vegas Raiders and Allegiant Stadium. The 13 honorees, who will each vie as a finalist for the 2021 William V. Campbell Trophy
® as the nation’s top football scholar-athlete, boast an astonishing 3.77 average GPA. Each scholar-athlete recipient receives an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship with the recipient of the Campbell Trophy
® claiming a grand total of $25,000.
