ASHEVILLE, N.C. – North Carolina Central University put together a strong run to cut the deficit down to four at the midway point, but UNC Asheville was able to pull away in the second period for an 82-66 win at Kimmel Arena on Saturday, Dec. 4.
Randy Miller, Jr. was one of three Eagles to reach double-digits in scoring, and he posted a team-high 18 points with an 8-for-8 mark at the free throw line. Eric Boone pulled down a team-high six boards with 13 points, five assists, and three steals. Kris Monroe dropped in 12 points for NCCU.

FARMVILLE, Va. – The Delaware State men’s basketball team fell 78-58 at Longwood on Saturday afternoon.
Offensively, the Hornets got double-digit performances from Myles Carter (16 pts.), D’Marco Baucum (13 pts.) and Dominik Fragala (11 pts.). On the defensive end, Christopher Sodom grabbed 11 rebounds, blocked three shots and had a steal.
Maryland Eastern Shore 81, Lehigh 75
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – In their fifth straight game on the road, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore men’s basketball team overcame a halftime deficit to capture their third win of the season over the Lehigh University Mountain Hawks with an 81-75 victory on Saturday.
Da’Shawn Phillip finished with a career-high 16 points. Dom London, Kevon Voyles and Chace Davis all had 14 points. That total tied a career-best for Voyles and was a career high for Davis. Pollard, Jr. anchored the team’s defense with game highs in rebounds, steals and blocks with six, four and two respectively.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Four Howard starters scored in double figures to lead the Bison to a 90-56 victory over American University on Saturday at Burr Gymnasium.
Steve Settle led Howard with 19 points, while Randy Brumant added 16. Tai Bibbs and reigning Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week Elijah Hawkins contributed 14 and 11, respectively.
Hampton 58, Norfolk State 57
HAMPTON, Va. – Hampton’s Russell Dean hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to defeat Norfolk State 58-57 on Saturday.
Joe Bryant led the Spartans with 15 points and added five rebounds. Kris Bankston finished with 11 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
