NASHVILLE, Tenn. (December 27, 2021) – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced open registration for the 2022 Nashville Coaches Clinic where Howard University softball head coach Tori Tyson will be among the five amazing speakers. The two-day event (Jan. 7-8) takes place at the Marriott Franklin-Cool Springs (700 Cool Springs Blvd., Franklin, TN 37067).

Tyson, entering her fourth season at the helm for Howard, looks forward to speaking at the NFCA Coaches Clinic again.

"I am always thrilled when the NFCA gives me the platform to grow our game," said Tyson, who spoke at the 2020 NFCA Kansas City Coaches Clinic. "It's a great honor to serve by sharing and representing Howard University and all HBCUs."

Each clinic features five outstanding speakers who will share ideas, drills, strategies, player-development techniques and much more.

Tyson will take her knowledge of the game to Nashville where she joins JT Gasso (Assistant Coach, Oklahoma), Loren Laporte (Head Coach, James Madison), Shonda Stanton (Head Coach, Indiana) and Michelle Venturella (Head Coach, Washington).

Clinics will be offered in seven cities- Chicago (2), Louisville, Portland, Ore., Charlotte, Nashville, Minneapolis and Kansas City - with five speakers at each site. Over two days, participants will gain knowledge from world-class speakers and be able to mingle with exhibitors, who will be showcasing some of the newest innovations in the softball world.

Howard opens the 2022 season in February.
