JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- 
Four Eagles scored in double figures as Coppin State women's basketball team gained victory over the Saint Peters Peacocks, winning 66-57 Saturday afternoon inside the Yanitelli Center.

Jaia Alexander and Jalynda Salley both finished the game with double-doubles.
 
Alexander led all players in points and rebounds, with 21 and 16, and had an all-around defensive game as she grabbed 14 defensive rebounds and three blocks. Salley also had a double-double with 10 points and 14 boards. 

Aliyah Lawson was the Eagles' second-leading scorer with 16 points and was efficient from beyond the arc (3-for-4). Mossi Staples finished with 13 points, seven assists and five steals.

UNC Greensboro 66, Maryland Eastern Shore 56

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. -- 
Maryland Eastern Shore held a 49-48 lead with 9:55 left in the fourth quarter, but an 18-7 run by UNC Greensboro propelled the Spartans to a 66-56 victory on Saturday at the William P. Hytche Center.

Amanda Carney had 19 points on 7-for-11, shooting including five from deep to lead all scorers and added three rebounds, two assists and a steal.

Mahogany Lester chipped in 12 points — on 5-for-8 shooting — five rebounds and two steals.

North Carolina A&T State 60, North Carolina Central 55

GREENSBORO, N.C. --
Necole Hope led North Carolina Central with 13 points Saturday evening, but the Eagles fell to their former conference rivals at the Corbett Sports Center, as North Carolina Central came away with a 60-55 win.

Paris McBride was also in double figures with 11 points.
