North Carolina A&T State Has Perfect Weekend to Open MEAC Play

GWYNN OAK, Md. -- 
The North Carolina A&T State women's bowling team went a perfect 8-0 in the first Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) meet of the season on Sunday afternoon. The Aggies dominated with a 205.1 average, almost 14 pins higher than second-place and host Morgan State. 

The Aggies, the fifth-ranked team in the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA), knocked down 9,320 pins, 623 more than any other team at the round-robin event.

Morgan State Holds Second at First MEAC Meet

GWYNN OAK, Md. -- 
The Morgan State Lady Bears averaged 191.9 for Sunday's Round of Baker player and 191.3 for the weekend en route to a solid 6-2 MEAC record for the weekend. Morgan State concluded the MEAC Meet #1 event, sitting in sole possession of second place in the league standings behind North Carolina A&T State, who was a perfect 8-0.

Hornets Take Tie for Third at First MEAC Meet of the Season

GWYNN OAK, Md. -- 
The No. 14-ranked Delaware State University women's bowling team competed in the MEAC #1 event over the weekend hosted by Morgan State University.
 
On the weekend, Delaware State posted the second-highest total pinfall (8,856) as well as the second-highest average, scoring a 196.8 per game (45 games total).

The UAB bowling team had a strong showing at the first MEAC competition of the season, finishing third in a tough field that featured four ranked programs.
 
During the tournament, UAB finished with a final record of 5-3 with three of the wins coming over ranked opponents. Both days of MEAC #1 featured four Baker games.
