WASHINGTON – The Howard University football team picked up its second straight win of the season with a 27-0 victory over Morgan State on Friday night at Greene Stadium.
Howard improves to 2-4 on the season and 1-0 in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play. Morgan State falls to 0-5 overall and 0-1 in the MEAC.
After a scoreless first quarter, Faraji Woodson got the Bison on the board with a 35-yard field goal with 13 seconds left in the second quarter.
Howard tallied 24 points in the final two periods to seal the win.
Quinton Williams was 19-for-32 with two touchdowns and an interception while throwing for 337 yards for Howard. Antoine Murray had four receptions for 178 yards, including a school record 97-yard touchdown catch. Ray Williams led the Bison defense with a team-high six solo tackles.
For Morgan State, Neil Boudreaux completed 10 of his 25 passes for 70 yards. Defensively, Christian Teague had eight tackles (six solo).
