BALTIMORE, Md. -- 
Miajavon Coleman and Paola Caten notched double-doubles to lead Coppin State to a pivotal 3-1 (25-23, 24-26, 25-22, 25-21) victory over North Carolina Central on Sunday afternoon at Ron 'Fang' Mitchell Court inside PEC Arena. 

With the victory, Coppin improved to 12-9 overall and 6-3 in the MEAC, while N.C. Central fell to 6-12 on the year with a 5-4 mark in league play.
 
A senior from San Antonio, Texas, Coleman notched a match-high 19 kills to go with 15 digs while adding an ace and three blocks. Caten recorded 13 kills with just one error on 31 swings to hit .387 and was credited with 13 digs and a pair of aces.
 
Chudear Tut also had herself a day, recording nine kills on a .500 hitting percentage while tallying a team-high six blocks. Also, on the offensive end, Azhzi Coleman recorded six kills, followed by Kareemah Hopkins and Hope Casel with four apiece.
 
Andrea Tsvetanova and Hopkins split time at setter and combined for 47 assists with Tsvetanova recording 24, just one more than Hopkins. The duo led CSU to a .213 hitting percentage compared to just .193 for Central.

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. --
Bria Woodard and Kailyn Williams each had 11 kills on Sunday to lead Howard to a 3-1 (24-26, 25-18, 25-22, 32-30) win over Maryland Eastern Shore in the W.P. Hytche Center, the Bison's third straight victory.

Tamar Wells added 10 kills and 10 total blocks (two solo, eight assisted).

Kayla Diaz racked up 29 assists, while Essence Bell led the way on defense with 16 digs.

BALTIMORE, Md. --
Madison Grace had nine kills, and Makila Billingsley added eight, as Morgan State snapped its skid with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-17) win over South Carolina State on Sunday. in Hill Field House.

Mackenzie Jefferson quarterbacked the Bears offense to the tune of 34 assists, while Jadore Hayes led the defense with 14 digs.

Gabriela Hiciano added 10 digs.
