Delaware State's school-record win streak is now 16 with a 3-0 MEAC victory over Coppin State on Sunday, raising the Hornets' season total to 20 for the first time in 12 years.

The scores were 25-14, 25-21 and 25-20.

Delaware State is now 20-1 overall and leads the MEAC with an 8-0 record. Delaware State has won its last seven matches by 3-0 scores and feature 17 shutout victories this season. During their 16-match win streak, the Hornets have 3-0 wins in 14 contests and taken 48 of 50 sets.

Overall, the Hornets are 61-7 in sets played this year, including 24-1 in MEAC matches.

The Hornets have a .952 win percentage this season; they had the third best percentage in Division I entering the weekend, trailing only undefeated Louisville (16-0) and Texas (13-0).    

Delaware State's 20 wins this season are the most since posting a 20-13 mark in 2009. The team record for wins in a season is 23 in 1987 (23-6).

The Hornets also improved to 12-0 at home this season.

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. -- 
Maryland Eastern Shore captured its fourth conference win of the season on Sunday, when the Hawks defeated Morgan State in four sets inside the William P. Hytche Center.

The scores by set were 25-19, 25-27, 25-16 and 25-22.

Sunday's victory kept Eastern Shore undefeated at home on the season, as the Hawks have lost just two sets at home in six contests. The match also marked the team's first match to go longer than three sets since their Sept. 17 contest with Saint Francis (Pa.).

North Carolina Central 3, Norfolk State 1

DURHAM, N.C. -- 
Senior outside hitter Arlanda Faulkner contributed a season-high 20 points, including participating in half of North Carolina Central's season-best 12 team blocks, as the Eagles secured a 3-1 MEAC win over Norfolk State Sunday afternoon inside McDougald-McLendon Arena.
 
Faulkner led all players with 17 kills and just one hitting error on 35 attempts for a scorching .457 hitting percentage. She added nine digs to just miss her second straight double-double.
 
Faulkner and senior middle blocker McKayla Young registered a tandem block on match-point to secure the triumph. The dozen maroon and gray blocks are a new match-high total as the Eagles prevailed by a score of 26-24, 24-26, 25-17, 25-10.

NCCU (5-11 overall, 4-3 MEAC) moved back over .500 in league skirmishes.
