BALTIMORE, Md. -- 
Coppin State swept a MEAC matchup with archrival Morgan State, 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 27-25) on Friday night at the Bears' Hill Field House.

The Eagles improved to 8-7 overall and 2-1 in league play, while Morgan State fell to 3-14 on the year along with a 1-2 mark in the MEAC.
 
Paola Caten led Coppin State with 12 kills on .290 hitting and added five digs and two aces, while Miajavon Coleman added nine kills and seven digs. Middle hitters Ahzhi Coleman and Jordan Celestine pitched in with six kills apiece, and Hope Casel finished with four more.
 
Andrea Tsvetanova led all players with 34 assists as Coppin outhit Morgan, .180 to .160, and Ashley Roman was credited with a match-high 14 digs. Roman passed both Glorines Rosado and Andrea McGant on Coppin's all-time digs list and now stands second all-time with 1,094 career digs.

DOVER, Del. --
Valeria Otero had 12 kills to lead Delaware State to its 11th straight win Friday evening, a straight-set triumph over Maryland Eastern Shore in Memorial Hall.

The Hornets extended their program-record winning streak and improved to 15-1 overall, 3-0 MEAC on the season.

Otero was the only player to record double-digit kills for the match; the Hornets were quarterbacked on offense by Malgorzata Andersohn (21 assists) and Jelena Dukic (15 assists), and the Hornets held UMES to just .190 hitting.

Jasmal Cruz led Delaware State on defense with 12 digs.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- 
Howard University rolled past Norfolk State in straight sets (25-14, 25-9, 25-14) after recording a season-high 19 service aces.
 
Senior Busisiwe Banda led the way with a match-leading 11 service aces.
 
Overall, Howard registered a .375 hitting percentage throughout the night. Freshman outside hitter Bria Woodard registered 12 kills while producing a .407 hitting percentage in the win.

ORANGEBURG, S.C. --
North Carolina Central remained unbeaten in MEAC play Friday evening with a straight-set win over South Carolina State in Dukes Gymnasium.

NCCU is now 4-8 overall, 3-0 in MEAC play this season.

Ammaarah Williams and Arlanda Faulkner led the Eagles offensively, racking up 13 and 11 kills, respectively. Faulkner added seven digs and a service ace, while Williams hit .417 for the match.

Lauren Janok recorded 33 assists and Alyssa Pieh had 19 digs on defense.
