LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Four Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) volleyball programs earned Team Academic Awards for the 2019-20 school year, as the U.S. Marines and the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) unveiled more than 1,300 honorees earlier this week.

The four MEAC programs honored were:

The award, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average (GPA) of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale or 4.10 on a 5.0 scale. The AVCA honors women's college teams across all three NCAA divisions as well as NAIA, in addition to two-year colleges, beach volleyball, men's volleyball and high school boys and girls programs.

In total, 1,315 programs earned USMC/AVCA Team Academic Awards.
