BALTIMORE, Md. – Former Morgan State men's basketball forward David Syfax has found a new home overseas to begin his professional basketball journey this year.

The Detroit, Mich., native has signed to play with AS Soleuvre (Nationale 2) located in Belvaux, Luxembourg.

"I'm very excited to go and play professionally," said Syfax. "This has been my dream my whole life!"

"I expect to bring toughness and energy to my new team and just to do whatever I have to do to help us win, like I did at Morgan."

Syfax was a fan favorite of the Bear faithful. During his four seasons at Morgan State he appeared in 118 games, which ranks No. 6 on the school's all-time games played list.

He scored 818 points, had 73 blocked shots while shooting 40 percent from the field and 30 percent from beyond the arc. Syfax concluded his senior campaign averaging 7.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and was second on the team in blocked shots with 20.

He finished the season just six boards away from reaching 500 rebounds for his career.
