NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State volleyball senior Jessica Radford has been selected to participate in the 2020 NCAA Career in Sports Forum. The annual event is held every summer at NCAA headquarters in Indianapolis, but will be held in a virtual setting this year due to COVID-19.

Radford finished her four-year career at NSU last fall. The Detroit, Mich., native played in 41 matches with the Spartans during that time and tallied 39 kills and 29 blocks. In addition to her playing career, she has been a regular member of the MEAC All-Academic Team and the AD's Honor Roll. She is majoring in mass communications and is set to graduate this spring.

Each year, the Career in Sports Forum brings together selected NCAA student-athletes to learn about and explore potential careers in sports, particularly college athletics. The forum allows attendees to network with peers and decision-makers at the campus, conference and national levels of college athletics while presenting opportunities for attendees to learn from current industry leaders.

Speakers will cover a variety of topics to prepare attendees for success navigating their futures, including: self-awareness and its role in professional development; practical approaches to the sports job search; personal branding; developing a career plan; and managing yourself as a professional in the sports industry.
