Florida A&M University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has introduced a series called Rattler Tales. Rattler Tales is an opportunity for our department to tell our story – from the point of view of the student-athletes, coaches, administrative staff and as donors and fans.

What made you decide to become a student-athlete at FAMU?
I wanted to be a part of the great HBCU culture instilled here at FAMU. Growing up I would attend many Rattler sporting events and was able to see how genuine the fans at FAMU were, and I knew that was something that I wanted to be a part of.

Why do you think donors and fans should give (donate to the Rattler Athletic Fund, buy season tickets) to FAMU Athletics?
I think donors and fans should give to FAMU Athletics to ensure that the programs and student-athletes are properly equipped with the tools necessary to succeed. Also, they should continue to give so that their alma mater will continue to flourish and outshine opposing universities.

Tell us about some of the best FAMU Athletics memories that you have as a student-athlete.

For me personally every time I am able to step on the court and perform in front of the best fans in the world is very memorable. It's nothing like playing in the Lawson center with the band playing, crowd cheering, with our beautiful cheerleaders courtside.

What is your plan after graduating/finishing your career at FAMU?
If plans to play professionally present themselves, I will definitely pursue my dreams of continuing to play. If not, I plan on immediately coming back to school to earn my MBA.

Tell us something that most fans would not know about you.
I am big on family, so with FAMU being a "FAMULY", I care and love each and every one of my fans. Go Rattlers!
