NORFOLK, Va., March 9, 2020—The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), with consultation with the City of Norfolk medical community, announces that the 2020 MEAC Basketball Tournament will start as scheduled on Tuesday, March 10 at 12 p.m. at the Norfolk Scope Arena. The MEAC will continue to be in communication with the City of Norfolk to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19).
The MEAC will keep the public informed if there are any changes as it relates to the Basketball Tournament. People who are sick are asked not to attend the tournament and to seek medical attention.
We are taking the approved methods, as established by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as it relates to the coronavirus.
