Maryland Eastern Shore senior Cayla Hicks was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowler of the Week, the conference office announced today.
Coppin State’s Raja Anderson was named Rookie of the Week.
Hicks (Sr., Salem, Va.) was the top individual at the Prairie View A&M Invitational, earning tournament MVP honors after averaging 234.17 pins in traditional play. She eclipsed the 200-pin mark in all six games, including a weekend-best 265 against Vanderbilt and a 251 against Stephen F. Austin. The Hawks went 4-2 in those matches and finished fourth in a tournament that featured the nation’s top eight teams.
Anderson (Fr., Stafford, Va.) led Coppin State at the Bowl for the Kure hosted by Molloy College this past weekend, finishing 25
th in the individual standings with a traditional pinfall average of 182.6. She twice eclipsed the 200-pin mark, rolling a 214 and a 205.

Cameron Strombeck (NCAT) averaged 206.3 pins in traditional play at the Prairie View A&M Invitational, including a weekend-best 233.
