Maryland Eastern Shore 68, Delaware State 53
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. -- Maryland Eastern Shore saw the reserves stand tall in the third quarter at both ends of the floor taking a close game and putting the team in position to pull away with a 46-40 advantage heading into the fourth quarter.
The lineup of Amanda Carney, Kenetria Redfern, Dayona Godwin, Taylor Clayborne and Porsha Sydnor went on an 8-2 run over the final 4:16 of the quarter including a pair of 3-pointers by Carney in the final minute.
Then in the fourth, the starting lineup returned to the court pushing the lead out to as many as 17 points on the way to a 68-53 win over Delaware State.
Adrienne Jones finished with 18 points on 5-of-10 shooting including 4-of-5 from deep to go with seven rebounds in 23 minutes.
Carney was second in scoring with 12 points on 4-for-7 shooting (all from deep) in 18 minutes and had three boards, an assist and a pair of steals that both came in the third quarter.

Morgan State 68, Coppin State 42
BALTIMORE, Md. -- Dahnye Redd had 18 points, Chelsea Mitchell added 17, and both players were one rebound shy of double-doubles as Morgan State upended rival Coppin State 68-42 Saturday afternoon in Hill Field House.
With the win, Morgan State (15-13, 11-4 MEAC) moved into solo possession of third place in the league standings, a half-game behind Norfolk State and a half-game ahead of North Carolina A&T State. The Lady Bears hold the tiebreaker over NCAT and will face Norfolk State in their regular-season finale on Thursday.
Coppin State started the night cold, hitting just six field goals in the first half and only managing four points in the second quarter. That gave Morgan State the buffer it needed en route to the 26-point win.
Oluwadamilola Oloyede led Coppin State (3-24, 3-12 MEAC) with 12 points.

Norfolk State 69, Howard 60 (OT)
NORFOLK, Va. -- Norfolk State outscored Howard 9-0 in overtime, coming away with a 69-60 win over the Bison at Echols Hall on Saturday evening. Six seniors went out in style in the last home game of their careers.
Graduate senior Blaire Thomas drained a 3-pointer in the first possession of overtime, and the Spartans (17-10, 11-3 MEAC) never looked back. Thomas scored five points in overtime, and along with Mikaela Jones' four points, the pair combined for all of Norfolk State's nine points in OT.
The Spartans held Howard (14-13, 6-8 MEAC) to a scoreless overtime period

The Spartan seniors played a big part of the win on Senior Day. Chanette Hicks scored 20 points along with four assists and seven steals. La'Deja James added 12 points and four rebounds, while Jones finished with 13 points and seven rebounds.
Thomas also scored in double-figures with 11 points, while adding eight rebounds.

North Carolina Central 55, South Carolina State 49
DURHAM, N.C. -- Four Eagles scored in double figures to propel North Carolina Central to a 55-49 win at South Carolina State University Saturday afternoon.
NCCU (11-16, 8-6 MEAC) has won four straight games, which is the first four-game win streak for the Eagles in over a decade since winning four consecutive contests in January 2010. The Eagles, who are now guaranteed to finish with their first .500 or better league record since joining the MEAC in 2011-12, also moved into a tie for fifth place in the conference standings with Delaware State, as the Hornets lost on Saturday to Maryland Eastern Shore.
Senior guard Kieche White scored 10 of her game-high 14 points in the fourth quarter. The Lady Bulldogs pulled within four points twice in the final frame, but White drew a foul and made a pair of free throws each ensuing NCCU possession to keep the Eagles ahead until the final buzzer.
Senior forward Paulina Afriyie recorded her 12th double-double for the Maroon and Gray with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Classmate guard Zaria Atkins and freshman forward Anissa Rivera both added 10 points.
Junior Jacquece Alston posted a double-double for S.C. State with 12 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.
