Bethune-Cookman 68, Norfolk State 62
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Amaya Scott scored 18 points and Ashanti Hunt was 10-for-10 from the free throw line as Bethune-Cookman downed Norfolk State 68-62 to clinch at least a share of the MEAC regular-season title Monday evening.
With their 13th straight win, the Lady Wildcats (21-5, 13-1 MEAC) lead the Spartans (16-10, 10-3 MEAC) and can clinch the title outright with a win over North Carolina Central on Monday, March 2, or Florida A&M on Thursday, March 5.
Ciara Thompson added 15 points for B-CU, while Hunt finished with 15.
Chanette Hicks led Norfolk State with 20 points.

Florida A&M 57, South Carolina State 45
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Shalaunda Burney-Robinson recorded a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds Monday evening in the Al Lawson Center as the Lady Rattlers defeated South Carolina State 57-45.
FAMU (6-20, 4-11 MEAC) led by 10 at the half, but South Carolina State cut the lead to single digits after 30 minutes. But seven was as close as the Lady Bulldogs could get in the fourth quarter, as FAMU closed the game on an 8-3 spurt.
S.C. State was held to just 16 field goals for the game -- including five in the second half. Both teams struggled from distance and at the free throw line, but the Lady Rattlers held a 46-40 edge in rebounding and turned S.C. State over 17 times.
Henaiya Moton and Jacquece Alston led the Lady Bulldogs (3-24, 3-12 MEAC) with 14 points each.

Morgan State 61, Delaware State 41
BALTIMORE, Md. -- Chelsea Mitchell had 17 points and 17 rebounds to led Morgan State to a 61-41 win over Delaware State Monday evening in the Hill Field House.
The Lady Bears (14-13, 10-4 MEAC) solidified their hold on third place in the standings; though Morgan State and North Carolina A&T State are tied for the spot, the Lady Bears hold the tiebreaker by virtue of their 52-39 win over the Aggies in January.
Ashia McCalla added 13 points for Morgan State, while Dahnye Redd added 10.
Morgan State led by four at the break, before using a 17-9 third quarter to break things open -- then duplicating that score in the fourth quarter to pull away to the win. The Lady Bears held Delaware State to just five second-half field goals.
Tierra Floyd had 10 points to lead Delaware State (12-14, 8-5 MEAC).

North Carolina A&T State 72, Maryland Eastern Shore 57
GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Cinia McCray dropped 18 points, and Deja Winters had 17 points off the bench, as North Carolina A&T State wrapped up its home slate Monday evening with a 72-57 win over Maryland Eastern Shore in the Corbett Sports Center.
The Aggies (18-8, 10-4 MEAC) remain tied for third in the standings with Morgan State. The Lady Bears hold the tiebreaker after defeating North Carolina A&T State earlier this season.
Le'on Hill was the third Aggie in double figures, scoring 11 points to go along with her game-high 16 boards.
NCAT led by nine at the half, but the Hawks opened the third quarter with an 11-1 run that tied the game at 42-42. But the Aggies stopped the run there, led by three going into the fourth and pulled away in the final frame.
Brooklyn Bailey led three Hawks (5-21, 2-11 MEAC) in double figures with 19 points.

North Carolina Central 89, Howard 71
DURHAM, N.C. -- Three Eagles dropped more than 20 points Monday evening in McDougald-McLendon Arena, as North Carolina Central wrapped up its home slate with an 89-71 win over Howard.
Paulina Afriyie led the way with 24 points and 15 rebounds, while Anissa Rivera added 23 points.
Kieche White dropped 21 for the Eagles (10-16, 7-6 MEAC).
The Eagles shot 53.3 percent from the floor for the night and made six of their 10 3-pointers -- including four of five in the second half.
Jayla Thornton led four Bison (14-12, 6-7 MEAC) in double figures with 18 points.
