2019-20 MEAC Bowling Statistics | MEAC Weekly Bowling Notes
NORFOLK, Va., Feb. 20, 2020--The second half of the 2019-20 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) bowling season continues to roll on this weekend with the second conference meet of the season on tap.
Florida A&M will host MEAC #2 this weekend in Pensacola, Fla., where all 11 of the league’s bowling programs will be in action at Cordova Lanes. After this weekend, the top eight teams in the standings will be determined; those eight will compete in the 2020 MEAC Bowling Championship, March 20-22 in Chesapeake, Va.
The first MEAC meet of the season was back on Nov. 10-11. Defending champion Maryland Eastern Shore went 10-0 that weekend, sitting atop the standings. North Carolina A&T State is 9-1, while Delaware State and Monmouth are both 7-3 in conference play.
UAB and Howard are 5-5, followed by Coppin State at 4-6. Florida A&M and Morgan State (3-7) and Norfolk State and Bethune-Cookman (1-9) round out the standings.
UAB’s Annie Hurley was named MEAC Bowler of the Week after her performance this past weekend at the Mid-Winter Invitational – where she had a single-game high of 268, which is tied for the third-highest in the MEAC this season.
Norfolk State’s Chanel Staton was named Rookie of the Week.
