B-CU Ranked 22nd in CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Women's Poll

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman is back in the CollegeInsider.com Women's Mid-Major Top 25, with the Lady Wildcats ranked 22nd in the poll released Tuesday.

The Lady Wildcats received 97 points in this week's poll to finish ahead of Yale, Southeast Missouri and Montana State.

The Mid-Major Poll is made up of teams from the America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Horizon, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt, West Coast and Western Athletic Conferences. South Dakota is this week's top-ranked team.

B-CU (19-5 overall, 11-1 MEAC) enjoyed a two-week stay in the Top 25 during the 2017-18 campaign. Two of the Lady Wildcats' five losses have been to teams (Central Michigan at sixth and Troy at 19th) ahead of them in the poll.

Monday's 66-55 victory at Delaware State extended the Lady Wildcats' winning streak to 11 as they took a game-and-a-half lead over Norfolk State in the league standings.

"This is such an exciting time in our program for many reasons but to be recognized by the Mid Major Top 25 poll committee is a tremendous accomplishment for these players and this coaching staff," B-CU head coach Vanessa Blair-Lewis said.
