SAVANNAH, Ga. | The Florida A&M University men's golf team finished fifth during the final round of the Invitation at Savannah Harbor, hosted by William & Mary, on Sunday morning at the Club at Savannah Harbor.
Florida A&M entered Sunday's final round fifth and could not move up in the standings, finishing with a 17-over-par 881.
Valparaiso won the tournament with a 5-over-par 869, followed by Wright State (871), Francis Marion (878) and Delaware (879). Saint Joseph's – Pa. claimed the sixth spot with an 882, while IUPUI (885), Columbia (885), Northern Kentucky (885), Western Carolina (886), Longwood (889), Fairleigh Dickinson (890), Navy (890), William & Mary (892), Bethune-Cookman (895), Iona (901), Brown (917), Bradley (924) and Savannah State (933) rounded out the 19-team field.
Individually, Florida A&M had three players finish inside the top 30.
Mulbe Dillard, who registered 10 birdies during the tournament, carded a three-day round 221 and finished tied for 23rd. Logan Bryant, who carded 41 pars during the tournament to lead the field, and Ethan Mangum each tallied 222s and tied for 29th. Camron Riley (224) and Mahindra Lutchman (224) both finished tied for 45th.
Austin Schoonmaker, of Wright State, was the low medalist with a 7-under-par 209.
The Rattlers return to the course March 9-10 at the Bash at the Beach Tournament held at the Surf Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
