BALTIMORE – Coppin State's men's basketball team announced on Thursday several updates to its non-conference schedule to close out the calendar year.

As originally scheduled, the Eagles will take on ACC member Virginia Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19. The game against the Hokies will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra, the network's streaming-only platform, as well as MASN.

Four days later, Coppin will travel to the Empire State to face Iona College, which is coached by Hall of Famer Rick Pitino. Fans can watch live on ESPN+.

Once back home, Coppin will make the short trek to face Towson on Saturday, Dec. 26 at 2 p.m. This game was originally scheduled on Dec. 3 and can be watched live on FloHoops.

The Eagles close out their non-conference schedule with a trip to Rider on Tuesday, Dec. 29 for a 7 p.m. tipoff.

Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) competition opens on Jan. 2-3, when the Eagles welcome Delaware State to PEC Arena for back-to-back doubleheaders. Divisional play will be enacted to minimize travel and teams will play back-to-back dates on Saturdays and Sundays.

On the men's side, Coppin, Delaware State, Howard, Morgan State and Norfolk State will make up the Northern Division. For the women, the Northern Division will be comprised of the Eagles, Delaware State, Howard and Morgan State, with Norfolk State moving to the Southern Division.
