BALTIMORE – Coppin State University's bowling team will be sponsored by Storm for the 2020-21 season, it was announced on Thursday afternoon. During the 2019-20 season, over 30 programs across the nation were sponsored by Storm, including five teams ranked in the top 10. 
 
"This is an awesome opportunity for the Coppin State women's bowling program," head coach Shaunita Middleton said. "Having the sponsorship of one of the top innovative manufacturers out there will help keep our young ladies bowling with some of the best equipment, and highly informed on the latest technology. It also offers an incentive when recruiting, to be able to show prospective student-athletes and those who believe in us, the vision for our program and the high level that we compete at daily. We can't wait to step on the competition lanes." 
 
The Eagles will receive a set amount of sponsored equipment along with the ability to purchase additional products including balls, bags, apparel, and accessories. 
 
Coppin is coming off arguably its best season in school-history after winning a school-record 38 matches and qualifying for its first MEAC Tournament since the 2013-14 campaign.
