PRINCESS ANNE, Md. — While Maryland Eastern Shore won't return to action until Jan. 17-19 at the Northeast Classic in Limerick, Pa., there is still some program buzz coming off the holiday season.

The Hawks (49-14, 12-0 MEAC) checked in at No. 14 in the opening National College Bowling Coaches Association Poll of the season. Eastern Shore also made an appearance — at No. 20 — in the initial International Bowling Media Association Collegiate Team Poll.

The Shore was No. 6 in the most recent National Tenpins Coaches Association Poll and are No. 3 in the NTCA Power Rankings Index.
