MEAC Bowling: Season Continues to Pick up Steam

NORFOLK, Va., Jan. 30, 2020--
The second half of the 2019-20 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) bowling season continues to ramp up this weekend with five schools in action.
 
The Rattlers, fresh off their second-place finish this past weekend in the Rattler Invitational, will stick close to home this weekend for the Seminole Classic.
 
Bethune-Cookman was seventh in the Rattler Invitational.
 
This coming weekend will also see Maryland Eastern Shore and North Carolina A&T State competing in the Prairie View Invitational in a stacked field that will see the top eight teams in the nation – and of the 12 teams in that tournament, 11 are nationally ranked.
 
Coppin State and Morgan State will be in the Bowl for the Kure hosted by Molloy College.
 
Florida A&M’s Keondra Eaton was named MEAC Bowler of the Week after being named MVP of the Rattler Invitational with a 199 average pin fall in traditional play this past weekend. She helped the Rattlers go 8-3 in the Rattler Invitational, and she bowled three games of 200 or better (including a weekend-best 235).
 
La’Monique Berrios of Morgan State finished 18th overall at the Red Flash Invitational, totaling 860 total pins, for an average of 172. She rolled a high game of 205 in the win over Walsh.
