DURHAM, N.C. – In an effort to support the residents of McDougald Terrace, the North Carolina Central Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is hosting an emergency relief donation drive during the Eagles' basketball doubleheader against Delaware State on Saturday, Jan. 25 in McDougald-McLendon Arena.
Doors to the arena open at 1 p.m. for the start of the women's game at 2 p.m.
As an incentive to bring a donation, NCCU is offering a ticket promotion. Fans bringing a donation may purchase a general admission ticket for only $5. NCCU basketball season ticket holders who leave a donation will receive a special Athletics Department gift (while supplies last).
Items accepted for donation are: GENTLY USED clothes (children, women, men), shoes, jackets/sweaters, hats/scarves and school supplies; and UNOPENED toiletries, feminine products, baby food/formula, diapers, blankets, non-perishable food items, canned goods, cleaning supplies and school supplies.
