2019-20 MEAC Bowling Statistics | MEAC Weekly Bowling Notes
NORFOLK, Va., Jan. 23, 2020--The second half of the 2019-20 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) bowling season continues to plug along this weekend with two schools in action: Florida A&M and Bethune-Cookman in the Rattler Invitational.
The Rattlers will be hosting the event, and it will mark Bethune-Cookman’s third tournament of the season.
Delaware State’s Alexis Neuer was named the MEAC Bowler of the Week for the second straight week after her performance at the Northeast Invitational this past weekend, where she finished third overall and averaged 206.8 pins in traditional play. She broke the 200-pin mark three times, including a weekend-best 257 against Medaille, which also tied for the overall best game of the tournament.
Along with teammate Stefanny Toala, Neuer was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Brooke Roberts of Maryland Eastern Shore was named MEAC Rookie of the Week after finishing 16
th in the individual standings at the Northeast Invite. She averaged 194.8 pins in traditional play and broke the 200-pin mark twice during the weekend, including a best of 215.
Maryland Eastern Shore finished ninth in the Northeast Invitational this past weekend, and one of the Hawks’ wins came against No. 1 McKendree. Delaware State came in 12
th, with Monmouth and North Carolina A&T State following in 13
th and 14
th, respectively.
Howard came in 25
th.
Morgan State and Norfolk State were also in action this past weekend, playing in a head-to-head quad meet. The Lady Bears took three of the four games, sweeping the traditional matches.
