Delaware State senior Alexis Neuer was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowler of the Week, the conference office announced today.
Maryland Eastern Shore’s Brooke Roberts was named Rookie of the Week.
Neuer (Sr., Lewisburg, Pa.) was the top MEAC bowler at the Northeast Invitational this past weekend, finishing third overall and averaging 206.8 pins in traditional play. She broke the 200-pin mark three times, including a weekend-best 257 against Medaille, which was also tied for the overall best game of the tournament. She was named to the All-Tournament Team along with teammate Stefanny Toala.
Roberts (Fr., Port Orange, Fla.) was 16
th in the individual standings at the Northeast Invite after averaging 194.8 pins in traditional play. She broken the 200-pin mark twice on the weekend, including a best of 215, and for the weekend, she had a 40-percent strike rate – both in traditional play and Baker play.
Other Top Performers
Carolyn Williams (HOW) led the Bison at the Northeast Invitational, averaging 174.2 pins in traditional play.
Skylar Smith (MON) rolled three 200-plus games and led Monmouth with a 189.8 traditional average at the Northeast Invite.
Touri Holmes (MSU) led Morgan State to a 3-1 weekend against Norfolk State, averaging 186 pins in two traditional games with a high of 213.
Amoura Whitney (MSU) averaged 172 pins in two traditional matches against Norfolk State.
Ana Olaya (NCAT) led the Aggies at the Northeast Invitational with a 191.2 traditional average and three 200-plus games.
Megan Wheat (NSU) averaged 196.5 pins in traditional play against Morgan State, with a weekend high of 198.
Isabel Hughes (UMES) was ninth in the Northeast Invitational with a traditional average of 202.2 and a weekend-high 247.
