NORFOLK, Va., Sept. 5, 2019—The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) has made two new hires and one promotion from within as the 2019-20 academic year gets underway.

The conference office has hired Darian McCaskill as the MEAC’s Director of Video & Digital Production, overseeing the conference’s video initiatives as well as the implementation of the MEAC Digital Network and ensuring broadcast quality along such platforms as ESPN3, ESPN+ and FloSports.

McCaskill was previously Director of the CatEye Network at Bethune-Cookman, his alma mater.

In addition, the MEAC has hired Joshua Celestin, M.S.A., as the conference’s new Business Manager. Celestin, who holds degrees from Norfolk State, Strome College of Business and Liberty, previously served as an accountant at Exact Accounting, treasurer for the Spruill for Sheriff campaign in Norfolk and financial analyst for L3 Communications.

The MEAC has also promoted from within, naming Karley Berry the Special Assistant to the Commissioner. Berry had spent the past year as the Athletic Administration intern in the conference office.

“I am elated to welcome Darian McCaskill and Joshua Celestin to the conference office, and to promote Karley Berry to Special Assistant to the Commissioner,” MEAC Commissioner Dr. Dennis E. Thomas said. “The MEAC is always in pursuit of excellence, and these additions to our staff will allow us to do that.”
