DURHAM, N.C. – No team in NCAA Division I football has more takeaways than North Carolina Central.
NCCU tops both the FCS and FBS ranks with 13 turnovers gained, including MEAC-highs of seven interceptions (third in FCS) and six fumble recoveries (fourth in FCS).
The Eagles' seven interceptions through four games are already more than the six they recorded last season. With linebacker Jerome Foster returning an interception for a touchdown during a 45-7 win over Elizabeth City State on Saturday, NCCU has now tallied at least one pick-six for 16 consecutive seasons.
