NORFOLK, Va. – The 2019 Phil FCS Preseason All-America Team was announced on Wednesday, with the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) landing seven players across the four squads.
South Carolina State senior offensive lineman Alex Taylor highlights the MEAC contingent, earning Second Team honors on offense. He’s joined on the Second Team by Florida A&M junior punter Chris Faddoul.
Four MEAC student-athletes are on the Preseason All-America Third Team, led by Howard senior wide receiver Jequez Ezzard and teammate senior wide receiver Kyle Anthony. Both were 2018 First Team All-MEAC selections. Also, on Third Team Offense are teammates senior wide receiver Elijah Bell and senior offensive lineman Marcus Pettiford, a 2018 First Team All-MEAC selection from North Carolina A&T State.
North Carolina A&T State’s junior defensive back Mac McCain III, a 2018 First Team All-MEAC selection, was named to the Fourth Team.
Taylor, Faddoul, Ezzard, Anthony and Pettiford all earned Preseason First Team All-MEAC honors in 2019.
