BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – A pair of former Michigan Wolverine teammates made their head coaching debuts Thursday night at Doyt L. Perry Stadium. Tyrone Wheatley launched his first campaign as Morgan State's head coach, while Scot Loeffler made his first appearance as Bowling Green's head coach.

Redshirt senior quarterback Darius Wade passed for 253 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 45 yards to help Bowling Green beat Morgan State 46-3. He was 22-for-32 with no interceptions in just three quarters of action.

The Falcons ran no-huddle for most of the night and had nine different receivers. Julian Ortega-Jones led the way five receptions for 69 yards, while Quinton Morris had 65 yards on five catches, including touchdown receptions of 2 and 27 yards.

Delaware 31, Delaware State 13
 
NEWARK, Del. -- Delaware scored 28 unanswered points after trailing Delaware State for the first time in the series to highlight a 31-13 victory over the Hornets in the season opener for both teams at Tubby Raymond Field on Thursday.
 
The Hens remain undefeated in the series between the state’s two Div. I programs (9-0).
 
UD quarterback Pat Kehoe completed 18 of 28 passes for 186 yards, and ran for 30 yards and a score to lead Delaware’s 383-yard offensive attack.
 
The Hornets passed for 231 yards, including 137 by freshman Tylik Bethea, who completed 10 of 18 passes, including a touchdown after entering the game following a thumb injury to DSU starter Shane Smith.
 
Delaware scored first on a 38-yard field goal by Jake Roth with 4:54 left in the first quarter. On the ensuing possession, DSU placekicker Jose-Romo Martinez capped off an 11-play, 68-yard drive with a 25-yard field goal to tie the game at the 18 second mark of the opening quarter. Smith completed three of five passes for 55 yards, including a 28-yard strike to Kwannah Kollie to highlight the drive.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Florida A&M could not slow down the high-powered offense of 17th-ranked Central Florida as the Knights cruised to a 62-0 victory in the 2019 season opener on Thursday night at Spectrum Stadium.
 
The Rattlers (0-1) elected to receive off the opening kickoff, but Florida A&M went three-and-out and were forced to punt the football.
 
Central Florida (1-0) immediately went to work on its opening drive. The Knights went 80 yards, in just five plays, and used 1:04 off the clock as Brandon Wimbush connected with Gabriel Davis for a 37-yard touchdown to give UCF an early 7-0 advantage with 13:33 remaining in first quarter.

Austin Peay 41, North Carolina Central 10
 
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – North Carolina Central opened the Trei Oliver era on Thursday with a 41-10 loss to Austin Peay at Fortera Stadium.
 
The Eagles scored first, when Adrian Olivo connected on a 24-yard field goal to put North Carolina Central up 3-0 midway through the first quarter. But the Governors went on to score 41 unanswered points to take command of the game.
 
For the Eagles, quarterback Micah Zanders completed 10 of 20 passes for 61 yards, and Chaunncey Caldwell threw a touchdown pass. Nique Martin, the recipient of that score late in the fourth quarter, caught three balls for a team-high 80 yards.
