MEAC Sees 36 Student-Athletes, Six Programs Earn ITA Academic Recognition

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has unveiled its 2018-19 Academic Awards, and the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) boasts 36 individual and six team honorees.

To be eligible for the ITA All-Academic Team award, an ITA member program must have a cumulative GAP of 3.20 or higher (on a 4.0 scale). All letterwinners are taken into account for the current academic year (in this case, fall 2018 and spring 2019).

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, a player must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letterwinner, 2.) have a GPA of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters (including freshman through senior year).
