BELLEVUE, Wash.–After a stellar junior campaign, Howard University senior wideout Jequez Ezzard was named to the 2019 HERO Sports Preseason All-American Second Team.
Last season, the Georgia native gave defensive coordinators nightmares as he torched several secondaries throughout the year while leading the country in yards per reception (26.6). Ezzard finished 2019 racking up 1,064 receiving yards on 40 catches with 12 touchdowns He also set a new school record for receiving yards in a game (223) at Ohio.
Additionally, Ezzard earned several postseason honors, including 2018 First Team All-MEAC and BOXTOROW All-America honors.
James Madison is HERO Sports' projected No. 1 in the preseason poll, while reigning FCS national champion North Dakota State is ranked No. 2.
