Bethune-Cookman Goes to Tallahassee Regional for NCAA Softball

Bracket

2019 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) champion Bethune-Cookman will remain in Florida for the NCAA Softball Regionals, as the Lady Wildcats were assigned to the Tallahassee Regional when the tournament bracket was revealed Sunday night.

B-CU (26-29) will face No. 4 national seed Florida State (51-8) on Friday at 2:30 p.m. on ESPNU.

Friday's other game in the double-elimination regional will be South Carolina against South Florida. Regional action will continue on Saturday and Sunday until one team from each regional advances to the Super Regional round.

B-CU won its second straight MEAC title -- and 10th overall -- this past Saturday with an 11-5 win over Florida A&M in the 2019 MEAC Softball Championship in Ormond Beach, Fla. The win came after the Lady Rattlers forced the if-necessary game with a 1-0 victory.

Florida State is coming off its sixth straight Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) title, having defeated North Carolina 8-0 in six innings on Saturday.
