NCAA Women's Tennis Bracket
South Carolina State, the 2019 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) women's tennis champion, will head to Chapel Hill, N.C. to take on the No. 2 overall seed North Carolina Tar Heels in the first round of the 2019 NCAA Women's Tennis Championship.
The match will take place on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.
The Lady Bulldogs defeated Bethune-Cookman 4-1 this past Saturday to win the 2019 MEAC title -- their first since 2017 and 14th overall. Hardeep Judge, the MEAC Coach of the Year, was named the tournament's Outstanding Coach, while Zainab Bendahhou -- a First Team All-MEAC selection -- was the Outstanding Performer.
North Carolina is 29-1 and the tournament's No. 2 seed for the third straight year. The Tar Heels defeated Duke on April 21 to win the ACC tournament title after going a perfect 14-0 in conference play.
