NORFOLK, Va., April 17, 2019—Delaware State sophomore Cassandra Boltman was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, the conference office announced today.
Boltman (So., Johannesburg, South Africa) ended the week with a 2-0 singles record, earning wins over Maryland Eastern Shore (6-0, 6-0) St. Francis Brooklyn (6-3, 6-0 over Runsi Patro). Her win over the Hawks’ Kenza Katema helped ensure the team win and MEAC Championships bid for the Hornets, and she paired with Aayushi Chouhan for the doubles win in that match as well.

Peggy Rooke (MSU) remained unbeaten on the week, earning a singles victory over Delaware (6-4, 6-3) while pairing with teammate Asmara Rose to come out with 7-6, 7-0 doubles win.
