ATLANTA – Jazmone Turner, the Associate Head Coach for Coppin State women's basketball, was named as a Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Thirty Under 30 Honoree, it was announced today by the organization, presented by Marriott Bonvoy and Morgan Stanley Global Sports & Entertainment.
"I am elated that Jaz has been selected by the WBCA as a Thirty Under 30 Honoree and I am looking forward to Jaz having a great career in athletics," said Coppin State women's basketball head coach DeWayne Burroughs.
"Jaz has been a great addition to our staff as she brings a lot of knowledge, energy, work ethic and new ideas to benefit our program. Jaz spends numerous hours working with our players individually on and off of the court and also takes the time to network with others in the business to become one of the top Associate Head Coaches in the country."
The program was created to recognize 30 up-and-coming women's basketball coaches under the age of 30 at all levels of the game. Each honoree has exemplified their involvement in community service, mentorship and impact on others, professional manner, and attitude and professional association involvement.
This is the fourth year of the WBCA Thirty Under 30 program.
