MEAC Announces Weekly Bowling Honors

NORFOLK, Va., Feb. 19, 2019—Delaware State freshman Stefanny Toala was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowler of the Week, the conference office announced today.
 
Toala (Fr., Tucson, Ariz.) averaged 211.2 pins in a five-game stint, recording a total pinfall of 1,056. She aided in the Hornets’ 5-0 record in traditional games and 11-2 overall record Delaware State held in the James Brown Invitational. Toala rolled a career-best 279 against Virginia State, which also ranks as the top single-game score this season in the MEAC, while also totaling 218 against Duquesne.

Carolyn Williams (HOW)
accumulated a total of 982 total pinfall with an average of 196.4 in a five-game stint in the James Brown Invitational. 
 
Cayla Hicks (MDES) had a five-game average of 204.7 with a game high 247 to aid in the third place honors Maryland Eastern Shore earned at the James Brown Invitational.
 
Devin Hill-Bartlett (MSU) knocked down a total of 954 pins for an average of 190.8, while posting a game high of 246 against Mount St. Mary’s in five games in the James Brown Invitational.
 
Cameron Strombeck (NCAT) had total pinfall of 998 in which she had three 200-plus performances, averaging 199.60 at the James Brown Invitational. She currently has 13 200-plus performances on the season.
