DELAND, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman's Jimmie Robinson was named his team's Offensive MVP Sunday at the FCS Bowl All Star game at Spec Martin Stadium.
Robinson accounted for 87 all-purpose yards – 38 yards rushing on nine attempts and 49 yards on three kickoff returns – as the American team downed the National team 20-14.
"It was a blessing to be named MVP," the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) First Teamer said. "It was a great experience to play in this game."
Also representing B-CU on Sunday was defensive back Trevor Merritt, who played for the National squad. His official stats included a third-quarter tackle.
Robinson is hoping for an opportunity to play in the Tropical Bowl, which takes place in Daytona Beach, Fla. on Jan. 12, 2020.
